Great Sights and Great Fun in Puerto Rico Puerto Rico has many exciting and fascinating sights that its visitors can explore and enjoy. You will learn of the great family history of the Bacardi’s and even get to try some of the fine tasting rum. El Yunque Rain Forest – This is a must for any nature enthusiast. This is a rain forest preserve that is 23 miles in length and is located just outside of Puerto Rico’s capital San Juan. Within the forest you will discover a variety of plant and wildlife species, and a gorgeous waterfall called La Coca Falls. You can take many guided tours and learn all about this vast and beautiful rain forest. Casa Blanca – This is a museum that is located in Old San Juan. It was originally a fort that was created in 1521, and is the oldest fort known to the city. Inside this spectacular museum, visitors will discover many fascinating artifacts that date back to the 16th and 17th century. San Juan Cathedral – This is a gorgeous and magnificent cathedral that is located in old San Juan, and was created in 1529. The Gothic architecture is absolutely astounding to look at. It is rich with archways and towers. Rio Camuy Cave Park – This is located in the Northwestern area of Puerto Rico. You can take a trolley car into the caves and discover stalagmites and stalactites and sinkholes. This is a fascinating tour that should be experienced by anyone who visits Puerto Rico.
